Simon
Lunn has more than 20 years experience working as a seismic
interpreter, for bp and Enterprise Oil. He has worked on a wide
variety of different basins and play types, ranging from the fold
belts and foreland basins of the Sub-Andean Trend to the deepwater
passive margin basins of the South Atlantic. Simon has been
involved in projects covering the entire spectrum of E&P activity
from basin analysis, through prospect evaluation and appraisal, to
field development.
Simon has recent experience of interpreting large deepwater 3D
datasets and has developed an expertise in visualization and the
direct detection of hydrocarbons from seismic data. He was
instrumental in developing the Direct Fluid Indicator Risk
Modification methodology about which, he now teaches a one day
workshop
Simon has extensive workstation experience and is an experienced
user of the following
Unix Applications; Seisworks 2D & 3D, Zmap, Rave, SpecDecomp,
Syntool, Earthcube. VoxelGeo, Stratimagic, Sattlegger, RocDoc,
ERMapper, Velit and Geoprobe, Geoframe.
PC Applications; 2d/3dPAK, VuPak, SynPAK, Surfer, GeoX
In conjunction with Philip Fish, Simon has put together a 3 day
course entitled "Deepwater Seismic Interpretation Skills Course".
