 Checklists for Seismic Indicators
The following checklists can be used to assess the hydrocarbon significance of seismic indicators such as flat spots and amplitude anomalies. Depending on the contrast in acoustic impedance between the encasing shales and the hydrocarbon reservoir, the top and base reservoir responses will either, dim, change phase or brighten relative to the background water response.
